ABOUT THE REGATTA

• The May Day Regatta for Juniors at Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club provides a great opportunity for sailors of all experiences to improve their racing skills. For those new to racing the Green Fleet is a great way to start off and coaching will also be provided. Entries are invited from all classes of monohulls to compete in a variety of exciting race formats. Come and join us at our beautiful lake for a weekend of fun sailing.
• Families can enter up to four boats at a special rate by selecting the option to register as a family.
• SBSC is taking 6-8 of our Open Skiffs (Bics) for juniors to compete
• They will be supported throughout by our Junior Coach Lizzie Dennison and one of our qualified assistant instructors

COACHING AND BOAT HIRE FEES

• The fee of $205 per child includes the cost of boat hire for two days, trailering,  use of our club RIB and coaching fees 

• In addition each participant must pay an additional regatta fee of $45 to LCSC to compete in the regatta (see below - must register separately)
• Total cost is $250 per participant

SCHEDULE

Saturday 1st May

• Unpack and rig boats: 10:00am

• Welcome and briefing: 12:00pm downstairs under clubhouse

• Racing: Warning signal not before 12:30pm

• Family BBQ and evening entertainment for kids: From 6:00pm

Sunday 2nd May

• Junior briefing: 09:30am downstairs underneath clubhouse

• Races: Warning signal not before 10:00am

• Junior briefing: 13:00pm downstairs under the clubhouse

• Racing: Warning signal not before 13:30pm

• Presetation: As soon as practical after the last race

• Pack boats: Finish by approx 16:30pm
