Those that attended the Heron coaching clinic that was held at DPSS last month under the eye of elite level coach Robbie Lee, there was plenty of benefit.
We have been lucky enough to secure Robbie again for another session at DPSS on the 21st under a similar format (although we will get out a bit earlier this time for a longer morning session before sailing the afternoon short races under the eye of Robbie).
It really will be a benefit guys, so can you check your diaries and indicate if you can make it.
Places are limited to 6 boats so that Robbie can give good attention to each skipper and crew.
TIME: 9:00am – 4:30pm
LOCATION: Darling Point Sailing Squadron, 16 Trafalgar St, Manly QLD 4179
COSTS: $80 per boat, payable to Robbie Lea (AOS) via Invoice, plus DPSS Race Fees
CLUB BOATS: SBSC is also able to provide Club Boats for hire $30.00
Thinking forward, we are also trying to line Robbie up for a somewhat regular session when the season starts so he can work with us and have us performing our best for the Nationals.

PS. For those who do not know Robbie Lea, he is an ex SBSC sailor and head instructor at the Academy of Sailing on the Sunshine Coast (https://www.academyofsailing.com.au/robbie-lea-the-boss)
Robbie was a sabot sailor in his younger years and would regularly race at South Brisbane to hone his skills with boat handling. (South Brisbane or RQYS on Saturdays and Brisbane 18s at Bulimba on Sundays). Robbie went on to win 3 national Sabot titles. He raced against Craig and Brad Taylor. David Mears, Colin Jones and Ian Kennedy to name a few that SBSC members may be familiar with.
Robbie has also sailed 125s and 420s on the odd occasion from South Brisbane in an 18ft skiff (Lysaght Colorbond QLD) for a promotional race for the World Titles to be conducted at Manly.
