Safety Boat Driver and Crew Induction

With the increased focus on safety practices at SBSC, Maritime Safety Queensland now require that all members who operate or crew powerboats for safety, race management or learn to sail activities at SBSC must undertake a Safety Induction before using powered watercraft.
Our Rear Commodore, Troy Mckay-Lowndes will conduct the first Safety Induction session of the 2024-25 sailing season next Saturday 24 August 2024 between 11:30am and 12:30pm.
Who is should undertake the induction:
- All safety boat drivers
- All safety boat crew
- All sailing instructors
- All assistant saling instructors
- Anyone who volunteers on safety boats during afternoon races
- Anyone who volunteers on safety boats during learn to sail activities
No prior preparation is necessary.
Please bring your Recreational Marine Drivers License with you, if you have one.
