Building on the success of our first fun sailing day of the year, this week will be a bit different, and how you work as a team between boats will be tested. An opportunity to improve boat handling skills, and encourage and support you team mates. Sound interesting? More to come soon.

We will use the 4 club pacers and the club Open Skiffs rather than private boats - so no need to bring your boat.

The plan is to “hot boat” so that we have 4 boats sailing at any one time - in very short single lap races - it will be 2 boats against 2. There will be spectating ashore and the big rib and pontoons will be used to transfer crews

We will set up the teams and the heats to be sailed during the competitors briefing, trying to even out the skills between teams.

There will be an umpire support boat which will travel with each race and the umpire will make instructions for penalty turns to be made when rules have been broken.

The fun of teams racing is its more about getting your last boat in a good place than your first.
