Membership & Fees

Membership offers you a path into the sport of sailing, either to cruise or to race, and an opportunity to meet new people and to enjoy the Club's sailing and social facilities. Don't have a boat? The Club has a number of boats that are hired to members at discount rates.

Membership Fee Details 2008-09 Season:

Joining Fee $20
A one-off fee for new members (Senior, Junior, Student or Family), which includes a copy of the published club centenary history.

Senior Member $110

Shall mean any person elected a member of the Club, entitled to all privileges of the club, including the right to vote, hold office and nominate officers and/or members. (18 years or over on 1 August 2007).

Junior Member $40

Shall mean any person elected a member of the Club, who will be under 18 years on 1 August 2007, entitled to all privileges of the Club, including the right to vote, hold office and nominate officers and/or members.

Family Membership $200

The intention of family members is for a parenting couple and their junior members.

Yachting Queensland Fees
Under the Racing Rules of Sailing it is mandatory that the person in charge of a boat and any crew member that sails in more than 3 races in any one sailing season be a member of a Member Yachting Association (YQ) .

Due to a change in the way Yachting Queensland charges its fees, all membership fees are now incorporated in the members fees.

Membership Form

Dinghy Storage - $360 There are a number of storage racks available for members on a first come/first served basis (when we reach the maximum storage possible for each type of boat, we will return the application payment). Payment of this fee entitles members to store their boat from August to September the following year only . A further application must be made to store the boat for the next period. Members who store their boats at the club are entitled to complimentary racing fees for the relevant season but are expected to race at least once every four weeks. Boat Storage Form

Sail Racing Fees

Individual fees of $10 on casual per race basis are available or a discounted season race fees of $230 are available. Approximately 80% of these fees are returned in trophies.
