Hall Hire
South Brisbane Sailing Club is now hiring out its
magnificent hall to community groups.
Perfectly
located beside the Brisbane River with large windows allowing a view of river
traffic, it is full of atmosphere with its walls adorned with sailing
photographs and memorabilia. Its polished wooden floor, large modern kitchen. We
have recently refurbished the toilets to allow wheel-chair access and provide
all that is necessary for a comfortable and enjoyable occasion.
The surroundings are correspondingly excellent with
nearby well-lit off-street parking, and pathways and entrance graded for
disabled access. Newly installed at the entrance is a
large
paved and landscaped area showing a nautical theme and allowing easy access from
kerbside vehicles. Preferred community groups include children's parties,
weddings, craft and dance groups and workshops. The club is a responsible
neighbourhood organization and does not encourage groups likely to disturb the
privacy and enjoyment of nearby residents.
Casual hall hire can cost as little as $350; long term
hire rates by negotiation.

| What type of functions can I
hold? The South Brisbane Sailing Club
exists in a residential Area and and due to
previous hirers disregarding this fact, unfortunately we cannot no longer hire
the hall for eighteenth or twenty-first birthday parties. If your function
creates excessive
noise it and may result in the loss of your bond. Hirers
must respect our neighbours at ALL TIMES. |
| What equipment is available?
The Hall conveniences include tables and chairs for 90 people, kitchen
servery, refrigerator, stove, sinks and toilet facilities. |
| What equipment isn't covered? Side
Gate Entry, Pontoon Use, Barbeque, Under Club Entry. |
